FLY PALAMINO TOUR
The Infamous Stringdusters – Trampled by Turtles
www.thestringdusters.com – www.trampledbyturtles.com
"The Infamous Stringdusters epitomizes the ethic of today's young 'new-grass' artists. Their instrumental virtuosity is front and center, but it's paired with an insouciant curiosity for everything from shiny Nashville harmonies to jam-band wonkery." - LA Times

September 16th, 2010 – Nashville, TN - The definition of bluegrass is being challenged. Ever since the "O Brother" bubble burst, string-bands have developed into the mainstream redefining bluegrass and shifting the limiting paradigm of acoustic instruments. Divergent string-band worlds collide as thrash grassers Trampled by Turtles and virtuosic-jammers The Infamous Stringdusters team up to bring you the Fly Palomino Tour.
The Infamous Stringdusters are at the forefront of a new movement in bluegrass music and touring in support of their Sugar Hill release Things That Fly. Their unmatched virtuosity has enabled them to take acoustic music to a completely new level. They wield an expansive repertoire touching on masters from Jimmy Martin to John Hartford, but their strength lies in their original compositions. Dedication to arrangements sets them apart and extended improvisation makes every performance completely unique. The live Stringdusters experience is anti-formulaic, groove friendly, and mind-expanding - not your granddaddy's bluegrass. Unless your granddaddy was Jerry Garcia.
Trampled by Turtles continue touring in support of their latest release, Palomino, which in April became their first #1 debut on Billboard’s Bluegrass chart. Separating the band from the pack is the contrast of their lightening fast, punk-influenced barn-burners and their lonesome, Townes Van Zandt-inspired ballads. Frontman/songwriter Dave Simonett’s vocals and lyrics capture the stark MN landscapes and the mood of the North Country like no other current artist with his hauntingly beautiful songs. The bands' unique mixture of rock influences and authentic style have garnered them coverage from a wide range of publications from Daytrotter to Paste to Relix to CMT.

"Farmboy" - Ray Stephenson - A Single Review
This story song has a real old time country sound to it, that is not real slick, but it is toe tappin music. This is written by Ray and Bob DiPiero. "I was born in Dixie, like it or not
I'm southern by the grace of God" - This song is a classic , really is catchy and the words are country as can be. I love the sound of the drums, almost sound like someone poundin' on a bucket, and I have seen a southern group do this. Find out more about Ray @ www.raystephenson.com .

"Hell Still Ain't Frozen Over" - Susan Hickman - Single Review
This country ballad from Susan Hickman's self titled CD has a haunting Quality to it. The pedal steel and sweet textured rhythm guitar accompany her very emotive vocals. This is an excellent composition and production by Doug Deforest.
This gal has a very strong voice and sings with confidence. I do not find the term "Hell Still Ain't Frozen Over" used in a trite way. It is part of the emotion of the song which is carefully constructed with a great melodic melody full of strong hooks. This gal knows how to get inside of a song. This song deserves a lot of airplay.

Murphey and Son Receive Nominations for Texas Music Awards
Rural Rhythm Records is pleased to announce Michael Martin Murphey lands in two spots today on Billboard Magazine’s™ TOP 50 Bluegrass Chart: #15 “BUCKAROO BLUE GRASS II – RIDING SONG” released February 9th; and #22 the Grammy nominated “BUCKAROO BLUE GRASS” that also appears in the #1 spot on the ROOTS MUSIC BLUEGRASS REPORT.
Both Murphey and his son, Ryan Murphey certainly set the tone with the original “BUCKAROO BLUE GRASS” with its appeal to a wide range of music fans - blending bluegrass, country, cowboy, roots and Americana music with the drive and energy Murphey has become known for. “BUCKAROO BLUE GRASS II – RIDING SONG,” continues the journey. “Even the well-trod Wildfire, with its echoes of ‘70s soft rock, gets a fresh garland of twang and a powerful duet vocal from Carrie Hassler,” said Hyperbolium and No Depression.
The label is also proud to announce that Michael Martin Murphey, the 2009 Texas Music Award’s Entertainer of the Year, has just been nominated for that honor again, along with Ryan Murphey receiving the nomination for Producer of the Year for “BUCKAROO BLUE GRASS.” Winners will be announced at the 8th Annual Texas Music Awards show on May 15, 2010 in Marshall, hosted by B. J. Thomas.
Michael and Ryan will be featured performers with Leroy Parnell during an evening live broadcast and internet stream on KGSR- 93.3 (www.kgsr.com) March 5th, 2010 from the legendary "Saxon Pub" in Austin, Texas (where Michael got his start) during the Texas Heritage Songwriter Awards Weekend, March 5-7th. The Texas Heritage Songwriter Awards Hall of Fame Inductee Reception will be held March 6th at the Bob Bullock Museum of Texas History, and the Texas Heritage Songwriter Hall of Fame Induction is on Sunday, March 7th at the Paramount Theater (Michael Martin Murphey was inducted into the Texas Songwriter Hall of Fame with Willie Nelson, Guy Clark and Alan Shamblin in 2009.)

"DANDELION" -New CD by Becky Schlegal
Natural Nuance, Poetic Imagination And Magical Tone Highlight Becky Schlegel's New CD, DANDELION
Purchase Now Online Or In Stores April 6
Nashville, TN (February 1, 2010) -- Becky Schlegel's newest CD, DANDELION (LILLY RAY/IGO Records), is a live-sounding record that is rich with natural nuance, poetic imaginings and magical tone. Co-produced by Schlegel and Brian Fesler and recorded in Minnesota, the project drops April 6, 2010. "We took a more relaxed, spontaneous approach on DANDELION," says Becky, a new Nashville resident. "We let the songs be free to end up where they were destined to be.”
The 13-song collection resonates with Schlegel's insightful originals and ever-engaging voice. Two very special guests appear on the disc: Randy Kohrs (Dolly Parton, Tom T. Hall) and Josh Williams (Rhonda Vincent, 2009 IBMA Guitar Player of the Year). Seasoned musicians adding their talents include: Brian Fesler (Banjo, Acoustic/Electric Guitars); Richard Dworsky, Benny Weinbeck (Piano); Gordon Johnson (Bass); Marc Anderson, Phil Hey (Percussion/Drums); Michael Witcher (Resonator Guitar); Kenny Wilson (Pedal Steel, Electric Guitar); Clint Hoover (Chromatic/Diatonic Harps) and Josh Williams, Jeff Midkiff and Joe Cruz on Mandolin.
What makes DANDELION so striking is the continued growth of Becky's songwriting and her polished comfort in the producer's chair. While her voice has been compared to Alison Krauss, and her writing compared to that of Sarah McLachlan and Jewel, there is no denying that DANDELION offers the purest and best of Becky Schlegel all around. An Appalachian thread runs throughout the project, and Schlegel draws heavily upon her bluegrass heritage to add an earthy sparkle and subtle shine to each track. From the memories of her grandmother, glimpsed throughout the disc's opener "Anna," to the haunting vignettes invoked by the title track, her imaging paints portraits that are startling in their vividness. Her current single, "Colorado Line," is a mid-tempo look back at a well-remembered goodbye - and what might have been, while the engaging “I Never Loved You Cowboy,” is a tune inspired by a real-life teenaged breakup. Schlegel confronts infidelity in "So Embarrassing," which features the artful harmonies and signature Resonator Guitar of Kohrs. "When It Rains" showcases Williams joining Schlegel to create a mesmerizing vocal pairing.
DANDELION is her most “country” effort to date; the result of songs pulled from past memories and dreams unfulfilled and heretofore unspoken. The disc will be in stores nationwide on April 6, but fans can order copies online now. DANDELION is Becky's fourth solo album of originals, following RED LEAF, DRIFTER LIKE ME, and the critically-acclaimed FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE. The Minnesota Music Academy has honored her for five consecutive years, and in 2003, 2005 and 2008, she performed at the IBMA’s prestigious Songwriters’ Showcase. Schlegel continues to entertain fans at intimate venues surrounding her new Nashville home, and across the Midwest.
Fans can learn more about Becky and purchase her music at www.beckyschlegel.com. For interviews or press materials, email somuchmoore@charter.net or call Martha at 615-746-3994.

THE "Shine All NIght" Kicks Off for 2010 This Weekend In Little Rock
THE “SHINE ALL NIGHT TOUR” KICKS OFF FOR 2010
THIS WEEKEND IN LITTLE ROCK
Lyric Street’s Sarah Buxton is Added to the Star Line-up
Nashville, Tenn. (January 20, 2010) – The 2010 leg of the SunnyD Presents the Shine All Night Tour starring Martina McBride and Trace Adkins kicks off this weekend and fans are getting even more music than they anticipated. Lyric Street recording artist Sarah Buxton will be joining headliners Martina McBride and Trace Adkins for a fun-filled evening of superstar entertainment.
USA Today has declared Sarah Buxton to have "one of the most immediately arresting voices I've heard in a while." She's appeared on The Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live and has also appeared in the pages of People, Redbook and Country Weekly magazines.
The SunnyD Presents Shine All Night Tour Starring Martina McBride & Trace Adkins kicked off before the Thanksgiving holiday and night after night fans and critics praised the unique pairing.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel wrote, “The two musicians brought together opposite ends of popular country music spectrum to create a cohesive package,” “McBride was comfortable straddling the lines between pop star and country girl” and Adkins performance was “a hit-filled set that traveled from rowdy fun to emotionally gripping nostalgia and romance.”
The Oklahoman wrote, “Between McBride's powerful voice and sassy energy and Adkins’ rowdy honky tonk and heartfelt ballads, the pair's Shine All Night tour seemed to thrill the near capacity Ford Center crowd.”
The evening runs the gamut of emotional release combining countless radio hits and award-winning music. Songs flavored with boisterous revelry, sexy romance and honest reflection leave fans no choice but to dance in the aisles, fist wave, chant and hold on tight to loved ones while remembering what matters most.
Enthusiastic crowd reaction and highly animated audience participation has proven McBride has shattered all illusions of a sit-in-your-seat-and-clap-politely evening as the superstar entertainer unveiled surprise after surprise during her impressive 90 minute set of hit country music, costume changes, and elaborate production and staging.
A well-seasoned performer, Adkins delivers a solid, crowd-pleasing show that includes a string of hits the platinum-seller has collected since launching his career in 1996. He balances each show with light-hearted romps like "This Ain't No Thinkin' Thing," "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," "Hot Mama," and "Ladies Love Country Boys," with emotionally charged ballads such as "I'm Tryin,'" "Arlington," "You're Gonna Miss This" and "All I Ask For Anymore." The Grammy-nominated singer instantly energizes his audience the minute he steps on the stage and keeps concertgoers pumped up throughout the entire set.
The Shine All Night Tour, also sponsored in part by GAC, kicked off November 20th and covers 40 cities across the U.S. through the spring of this year. Both McBride and Adkins will each perform full-length shows and Sarah Buxton will be their special guest.

Country SuperGroup Lonestar Debuts new Studio Album, Party Heard Around The World
COUNTRY SUPERGROUP
LONESTAR DEBUTS NEW STUDIO ALBUM,
PARTY HEARD AROUND THE WORLD,
IN STORES APRIL 27TH
SAGUARO ROAD RECORDS BRINGS GROUNDBREAKING NEW MUSIC FROM MULTI-PLATINUM LEGENDS
Nashville, Tennessee – The New Year of 2010 launches with the promise of the much-anticipated return to the charts of a true country music super-group—LONESTAR –whose career path to date has been marked by countless multi-platinum milestones.
The band is releasing their first studio album in four years—cause enough for celebration to the universe of country/pop cross-over fans who have long embraced them. And the news gets better. Party Heard Around The World, their 10th album, is a total ‘hands on’ creative effort, produced by the band with eight of the ten tracks written by the foursome. Noted lead guitarist and original member Michael Britt said in a recent interview: “We feel that this album is a complete reflection of the group, circa 2010. It’s personal and powerful music that reflects the core values of Lonestar through lyrics, performance and production.”
Lonestar’s commitment to open the new decade with a new chapter of music will have the full label support of Saguaro Road Records and be the subject of a major multi-phase national retail/radio/media/marketing campaign set to roll-out in advance of the April 27th street date.
Known both for their strong country roots as well as their multi-genre crossover appeal that’s led to a history of success on the pop/rock charts, Lonestar has only their own career records to break. To date, the band has RIAA certified sales in excess of 10 million album units since their national launch in 1995. The Texas bred band has had an impressive list of hit singles on the country charts, including ten #1’s as well as nine Top 40 songs on the pop charts. Signature songs in the mid-90’s included early #1 hits such as “No News,” and “Come Cryin’ To Me.” Their 1999 album release, Lonely Grill, produced Lonestar’s biggest crossover smash to date, the ballad “Amazed,” which spent eight weeks at the #1 spot on the country charts as well as reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The dual win made them the first country act since Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton’s “Islands In the Stream” in 1983 to accomplish this career milestone. Three more singles from the band (“Smile,” “What About Now,” and “Tell Her”) followed to #1 as the Lonely Grill album was certified multi-platinum. Lonestar dealt listeners a follow-up platinum hand with the release of their I’m Already There album (2001) with the title track lead-off single spending six weeks at #1 as the album was on the way to platinum certification.
In addition to garnering music accolades, Lonestar has been oft- lauded for their continuous outreach in the arena of humanitarian goodwill. The band was recognized by The Academy of Country Music with the coveted Home Depot Humanitarian Award in 2003 for their continued commitment to help build the dreams of those in need—this in recognition to the group’s single handed dedication to the building of a playground for children in tornado ravaged Jackson, Tennessee. America’s military forces have been a major focus for concert and fund raising efforts by the band as has St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, to mention only a few of their ongoing humanitarian interests.
Lonestar consists of original members Dean Sams, Keech Rainwater, and Michael Britt, as well as lead vocalist Cody Collins who joined the group in 2007.
Party Heard Around The World is set to make a legion of new fans, as well as re-connect Lonestar to a universe of dedicated fans for whom their latest studio project has been eagerly awaited. Tour dates in support of the new album release are expected to be announced within the next few weeks.

Bellamy Brothers Release New Single, "Heart Of My Heart" From Anthology Vol. 1 Collection
Bellamy Brothers Release New Single, “Heart of My Heart” From Anthology Vol. 1 Collection
Written with Legendary Songwriter Jerry Lynn Williams
(Nashville, TN – Jan. 11, 2010) Pioneering Country duo, The Bellamy Brothers, have released “Heart of My Heart” to radio, the second single from their career-spanning greatest hits collection, The Anthology, Volume 1.
Co-written with the iconic but often overlooked songwriter Jerry Lynn Williams before his death in 2005, “Heart of My Heart” follows the release of Anthology’s first Top 40 single and duet with The Bacon Brothers, “Guilty of the Crime.”
“Jerry Williams’ been called the most famous unknown songwriter in music history,” says David Bellamy. “Howard and I only wrote a few songs with Jerry because we met him just a couple of years before he died, but he was one of the best writers we've ever worked with. We are really proud to have written ‘Heart of My Heart’ with him.”
Williams’ songwriting credits include Eric Clapton’s “Running on Faith” and “Pretending,” Bonnie Raitt’s “Real Man,” Delbert McClinton’s “Givin’ It Up For Your Love” and Jimmy and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Tick Tock.” He also contributed tracks for legends such as Ringo Starr and B.B. King.
In addition to a handful of new and previously unreleased songs, such as “Heart of My Heart” and “Guilty of the Crime,” Anthology, Volume 1 features 13 No. 1 hits from the Bellamy’s prolific career, including “Let Your Love Flow,” “Old Hippie,” “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” “Kids of the Baby Boom” and “For All the Wrong Reasons,” among others.
Brothers Howard and David are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year and plan to release The Anthology, Volume 2 in the fourth quarter of 2010. The duo is currently touring in the U.S., with their annual European tour taking place later this summer. A Bellamy Brothers biography is also in production and is scheduled for release in 2011.

George Strait Adds fellow Texan Lee Ann Womack to Tour
COUNTRY MUSIC SUPERSTAR GEORGE STRAIT ADDS
FELLOW TEXAN AND TRADITIONALIST
LEE ANN WOMACK
Nashville, Tenn. (November 18, 2009) - The King of Country Music George Strait has added award-wining and platinum recording artist Lee Ann Womack to his previously announced arena tour with Entertainment Superstar Reba McEntire. The tour kicks off in early 2010 and continues through late Spring.
“'Does Ft Worth Ever Cross Your Mind'? 'Whoever's In New England'? 'The Fireman'? 'Little Rock'? 'Wrapped'? 'The Last To Know'? We're talking classic country from the source,” praises Womack. “I can't imagine a better tour to be on than George Strait and Reba McEntire --- and now I'm not imagining!”
Womack added jokingly, “I'm trying to figure out what to wear...cause you can't out-starch George and you sure can't out-spangle Reba!”
Lee Ann Womack has sold over 6 million albums, won two Grammy’s, numerous other milestone awards, and received notoriety for her last album There’s More Where That Came From. Released February of ’05 on CD and classic vinyl, There’s More swept CMA Award trophies fall of the same year for “Album of the Year” and “Single of the Year” (“I May Hate Myself In The Morning”). She is also recognized for #1 singles “The Fool,” “A Little Past Little Rock,” “I’ll Think Of A Reason Later” and the mega smash “I Hope You Dance”.
Womack’s current album Call Me Crazy has garnered critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard and The New York Times, to name a few. She was nominated for “Top Female Vocalist” at this year’s ACM Awards and the debut single “Last Call” was nominated for a Grammy earlier this year in the “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” category. Womack was recently nominated for “Musical Event of the Year” with George Strait for “Everything But Quits” at this year’s CMA Awards. Current single “There Is A God” is currently #43 on the charts.
With a career spanning more than 25 years, George Strait has the most number one singles of any artist in history including Elvis (57 To Date). He has sold more than 67 million records and with 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums has the most RIAA platinum certifications in country music and the third in all genres, behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
Strait’s recent release TWANG debuted at #1 on The Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart. This is the fourth time in Strait’s career that a new release has debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and the 13th time debuting at #1 on the Top Country Albums chart. The current single and title track sits at #17 on Mediabase charts and #19 on Billboard charts.
His platinum-selling Troubadour was named “Best Country Album” at the 51st Grammy Awards and in April, Strait was the fifth artist ever to receive the Academy of Country Music's Artist of the Decade honor. Strait has won 19 Academy of Country Music Awards including "Entertainer of the Year."
Strait, who holds the record for the most CMA wins and a record 17 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominations, is known for giving fans exactly what they want and expect at countless sold out shows across the country. This year will be no exception.
One of the most successful female recording artists in history, Reba has sold over 55 million albums worldwide, earned 33 #1 singles and was recently recognized as the biggest female hit-maker in country music history by “Billboard,” “Mediabase” and “Country Aircheck.” She is the winner of 15 American Music Awards, 12 Academy of Country Music Awards, 9 People’s Choice Awards, 7 Country Music Awards and 2 GRAMMY Awards. Once again Reba is nominated for the American Music Awards’ “Favorite Country Female” and will appear on the AMAs this Sunday.
Reba’s new album, Keep On Loving You, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart – her first solo studio album to do so. With 11 #1 albums, Reba holds the record as the female artist with the most #1 albums in the history of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The superstar also recently scored her third consecutive Top 10 single of 2009, as her new song “Consider Me Gone” jumped into the Top 10. It currently sits at #4 on the Billboard Country Singles chart and #5 on the Mediabase charts.
In November 2008, McEntire signed with The Valory Music Co. reuniting her with multimedia entertainer and industry leader Scott Borchetta, President & CEO of Big Machine Records and sister label The Valory Music Co.

Nashville, TN (July 6, 2009) --- Country rocker Richie Fields gives his fans a free dose of inspiration in the July 13 issue of Country Weekly, when he offers up his latest emotionally-charged single, "When You Love Someone That Much" via the magazine's popular Listen Up! feature. The song is available for two weeks as a free download from the magazine's website(www.countryweekly.com ) from July 6 through July 19. "Folks are really responding to this song at radio and at our live shows," says the distinctive, baritone-voiced entertainer. "Everyone automatically thinks 'ballad' when they hear the title, but this song just drives from the very first note." Written by Chip Martin and Jan Linville, the track is an up-tempo tribute to love, faith and strength in the face of adversity, and was produced by veteran hit maker, J. Gary Smith (Lonestar, Andy Griggs) and associate producer, Clif Doyal.
In addition to writing and searching for songs for his upcoming CD, Fields' summer is a busy one, with tour dates stretching from the East Coast to the Colorado Rockies.
Richie was a "hit" at this year's CMA Music Fest, signing autographs for hundreds of fans at the Roughstock, VAULT, Digital Rodeo and Music City Zone booths, as well as filming interviews with the Pentagon Channel, Hit Country TV, Country Home, True Country GoTV Networks and Country Music Tattletale. Companies Form Strategic Alliance to Offer Video Content Production and Distribution Service
(Nashville, TN - July 6, 2009) AristoVideo and Travis Television Productions have announced the formation of a strategic alliance that bundles the two companies' specialized video services into one consolidated package, named DownCast.
The arrangement integrates broadcast-quality video content with a distribution network that services an extensive list of radio, television, national and regional video programs, newspapers, trade publications, celebrity and entertainment shows, wire services, closed-circuit partners, global outlets and a full range of online destinations.
"This is a service that has been in development between AristoVideo and Travis Television since the beginning of the year," says AristoVideo Senior Vice President Craig Bann. "We feel like this alliance is a natural marriage between two companies that have a proven history of success in the entertainment industry. From download to broadcast, DownCast will provide clients with top-notch, professional video content that is created and then distributed in a format that is already prepared for streaming and broadcast use."
In addition to its video delivery mechanism, DownCast is designed to provide outlets with easily accessible tour press materials and a variety of content in advance of album releases. Outlets are notified electronically as new assets are uploaded. The system provides on-demand access to video content, digital photos, audio clips and press materials as needed on a secure, password-protected server.
"Thanks to our years of network television experience, we are extremely proud to offer entertaining and informative packages that can tell an artist's story in a matter of minutes," says TTV President Greg Travis. "It's truly amazing that we can reach millions of people with this new service, and it was important to us that we could offer artists the same broadcast-quality video we use for network television shows. DownCast is a great new way to personalize the introduction of a new album or tour, and the artists retain ownership of all the content."
AristoVideo, the veteran video promotion department of The AristoMedia Group, handles the distribution duties in the agreement. Travis Television Productions is responsible for creating and producing the content, which includes electronic and digital press kits, video news releases, video profiles and a diverse variety of Internet streaming material. The two Nashville-based companies have a combined 45 years of experience creating, promoting and distributing professional video content.
The DownCast service operates through a customized distribution application developed and managed by AristoWorks, The AristoMedia Group's new media marketing and development department. The service's extensive database is compiled from resources provided by the various departments within the company, including Aristo PR (publicity), AristoVideo and AristoVision (video promotion), AristoWorks (new media), Marco Promotions (secondary radio promotion) and Marco Club Connection (dance club promotion).

I became interested in reviewing Mark Karan for one reason only, because He played in Ratdog, Bob Weir's Band, and He had played with the Other Ones a few years ago, a group consisting of The Dead without Jerry. He and Steve Kimock were the guitarists. This is a very eclectic recording, but one thing is consistent , Mark provides lots of good guitar chops and jams many a song out at the end. Mark is a super talented guitarist, with many tones being shared in the mix. His guitar sound reminds me a bit of Dickey Betts and others.
"Walk Thru The Fire" is a song wrote while going thru cancer treatments, which is a slow paced, but victorious song. He plays some beautiful slide on this song. He has some help with some all star musicians like the Persuasions, Billy Payne (Little Feat), The Rowan Brothers, and a release of rock legend Delaney Bramlett, that was released after his death.(Love In Vain)
"Leave A Light On" (Mark Karan) is my favorite, it has a real nice slow, groove to it and I love the guitar jam at the end of the song. The whole album has a neat Americana, bluesy type sound to it. He does a great job at jamming out on the Dead's "Easy Wind" which is the only Dead song here. His vocals have some Pigpen Grit here, John Molo, sounds great on drums.
Walk Through The Fire was recorded over a four year period in six studios by eight engineers with twenty five musicians. Mark produced the record himself. It was mixed by Davy Vain, and mastered by the great Gavin Lurssen at Lurssen Mastering(student of the great Doug Sax). "Memphis Radio" is another bouncy song I like alot, real melodic, great hooks, nice guitar.
Mark's present band "Jemimah Puddleduck" shows up all over the place. This group showcases Mark on lead and all guitar, John Molo on drums, JT Thomas (Bruce Hornsby) on keyboards, and Bob Gross (Albert King, Delaney Bramlett) on bass. This is a solid recording, go on and pick up a copy.

"Supposed To Be" - Jett's Creek - a Review
Jett's Creek is one of Hope River's newest Bluegrass groups. This has been a year of few releases and also the releases I have heard have been disappointments. This group has a very sparse clean sound. Their strength is a a great selection of songs from many good writers. "Supposed To Be" is written by singer Angie Young. The CD was produced by Angie Young and Adam McIntosh. The sound is very clean with a traditional, pop newgrass sound mixed with some beautiful gospel, bluegrass tunes. It is a very good recording, though it has the feel of a demo, not used to hearing such a sparse recording.
Jett's Creek is Angie Young - (lead vocals) , Adam Mcintosh - (banjo, bass, lead guitar, mandolin, lead and harmony vocals.) Jon McIntosh (guitar and lead and harmony vocals.) Pearl Bradley(guy) mandolin. plus on this disc, guest musicians : Evan Mcgregor(fiddle), Tim Kidd (bass on "When God Dips his pen of love in My Heart", "Supposed to Be" and "I'll Be Back".)
This group is a family band, each member is married and their family is a big part of their lives. A big strength also of the group is their excellent ability to harmonize with each other. On some of their songs ,you can close your eyes and hear old fashioned harmonies from years ago. I, personally, really appreciate the lead guitar work of Adam McIntosh, almost every song has a very melodic guitar solo in the mix, He reminds me a bit of Ron Block of Union Station. He plays some excellent banjo too. The fiddle of Evan Mcgregor really adds alot to the CD.
My personal favorite is the last song on the disc "I'll Be Back" (Ronnie and Buddy Cannon) This was on Melanie Cannon's last CD which I really loved. A slow bluegrass ballad that is charged with emotion. "A Song For Life" (Rodney Crowell) is a slow beauty. It has some real nice Mandolin and harmonies. Opener "Highway 40 Blues" (Larry Cordle) is a great up beat opener.
Lead singer Angie Young has a real Sweet country, bluegrass voice. Her harmonies are also sweet. These musicians really play as one, like they have played together for a long time. Give them a listen, the official CD release party is at the end of this month in Franklin Ohio.

Bill Gaither describes the motivation behind this new release, stating, "Over the years, the Oak Ridge Boys have taken gospel music into places I, and most other gospel artists, would have never been invited.
This celebration of their gospel journey was more than just a fun opportunity to hear their gospel favorites ... it was about honoring their deep commitment to their gospel roots. I applaud that; and through this DVD I believe countless listeners will enjoy seeing four hearts that truly beat for music with a message."
Oak Ridge Boy, Joe Bonsall, also comments, "This is the most exciting time I've ever experienced with the Oak Ridge Boys. I can remember sitting and watching Gaither Homecoming videos on television and being so blessed. Then on my 50th birthday, we were invited to sit in the audience for the Cathedrals Farewell Celebration and I couldn't believe it ... and when we were called to the stage to sing, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Now, more than 10 years after that video was released, we consider Bill and Gloria and many of our other heroes to be friends. Being in their studio, standing in the places where so many legends have stood, to create a video documenting our gospel journey was definitely a full-circle moment for the Oak Ridge Boys."
The Oak Ridge Boys: A Gospel Journey is distributed by EMI and is available in stores everywhere.
