The Lonesome River Band - "STILL LEARNING"
New Album Released Today on Rural Rhythm Records
Rural Rhythm Records is very proud to announce today’s new release, “STILL LEARNING” by the Lonesome River Band. This super group is lead by the award-winning banjoist Sammy Shelor who is joined by: Brandon Rickman (guitar, lead vocals), Andy Ball (mandolin, lead vocals), Mike Hartgrove (fiddle) and Mike Anglin (bass, vocals). Rickman explains the meaning behind his original song, “I’m Still Learning” that was of course the inspiration for the title. “We all thought that this song really describes LRB today. Learning something new every day and seeing things a whole new way has been the creative path and our attitude ever since the five of us got together.”
The Lonesome River Band was back on top with their last album, “NO TURNING BACK” reaching #1 on numerous charts including staying #1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Top 15 Album Chart for 3 months in a row. The album included two chart singles, “Them Blues,” (the #1 song for 2 months in a row), plus the hit, “Like a Train Needs a Track.” “STILL LEARNING” certainly picks up where “NO TURNING BACK” left off. The first single, “Record Time Machine,” written by Marvin E. Clark (who also co-wrote “Like a Train Needs a Track") has received rave reviews from key radio hosts including:
