"Crying' Heart Blues" by Audie Blaylock and Redline

"Cryin' Heart Blues" by Audie Blaylock & Redline

“Audie Blaylock plays and sings powerful traditional bluegrass the way it's supposed to be done!”
Arthur Berman (Pacific Pickin' CITR)

"It is just a brilliant album: genuine, true bluegrass music from first note to last and one which the late Jimmy Martin would be very proud of. Congratulations to all concerned.”
Geoff Morris
WALL-TO-WALL BLUEGRASS
worldwidebluegrass.com

“High energy that's what I like and Audie puts on a great high energy show and it shows in his recording!”
Jerry Eicher (‘Ol Hippie Bluegrass Hour)

“No matter what type of bluegrass you like you WILL like Audie’s Cryin’ Heart Blues. There’s something on this album for EVERYBODY! This CD is now my latest favorite!”
Roger Randolph
Bluegrassmix.com

“Audie Blaylock's new album Cryin" Heart Blues is one of those special albums that brings down home bluegrass to a new level. The title track, Cryin Heart Blues, is pure listening pleasure. The excellent four part harmony vocals on the Jimmy Martin/Paul Williams song He is Near will definitely move your soul, along with the sweet traditional sound of the Bill Monroe tune Stay Away from Me... this album will surely keep your attention and take its place as one of the Down Home top ten recordings of 2010.”
Jim Fisher (Down Home" Bluegrass and Folk Music - WGCS 91.1 FM - Goshen, IN)

“When anyone asks what hard-driving traditional bluegrass is supposed to sound like, I recommend Audie Blaylock and Redline. The band's latest CD, Cryin' Heart Blues, picks up where the previous album ended, and just keeps getting better. There is plenty to love here starting with the driving straight-ahead banjo of Evan Ward to the astonishing fiddling of Patrick McAvinue (Rummie's Run is amazing). The gospel a cappella song He Is Near will have you rejoicing in the perfection of its harmony. Audie has done it again, and bluegrass is better as a result.” - Jim Beaver (WHUS Bluegrass CafĂ©)

“Audie Blaylock was born and bred into bluegrass music and readied for the stage much like the racing thoroughbred is bred and destined for the track. You talk about pedigree, well Audie has it and it shows in his music. If you liked the maiden Audie Blaylock and Redline release, you're gonna love their new
Cryin' Heart Blues.” - Jadon Gibson- Syndicator

WEST CHESTER, Pa – Lonestar, one of the hardest working and most popular bands in both country and pop music, is scheduled to perform during the QVC Presents Q Sessions Live broadcast on March 31 at 6:00pm ET / 5:00pm CT / 4:00pm MT/ 3:00pm PT. During the broadcast, QVC viewers will have the chance to pre-order the album – nearly a month before street date – along with a special bonus disc, created especially for QVC featuring 6 of the band’s #1 country single hits. Party Heard Around The World will be released widely on April 27.

Party Heard Around The World marks the group’s 10th album and reflects the band’s creative evolution. For the first time in their career, the band produced the entire album, with eight of the ten tracks written by the foursome. Known both for strong country roots as well as multi-genre crossover appeal that has led to a history of success on the pop/rock charts, Lonestar has sold over 10 million album units since its 1995 debut. The Texas bred band has had an impressive list of hit singles on the country charts, including 10 #1s, and 9 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their 1999 album release, Lonely Grill, produced Lonestar’s biggest crossover smash to date, the ballad “Amazed,” which spent eight weeks at the #1 spot on the country charts as well as reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The dual win made Lonestar the first country act since Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton’s “Islands In the Stream” in 1983 to accomplish this career milestone. With the release of the I’m Already There album (2001) the title track lead-off single spent six weeks at #1 on the country chart. Lonestar consists of original members Dean Sams, Keech Rainwater, and Michael Britt, as well as lead vocalist Cody Collins who joined the group in 2007.

Miranda Lambert's "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" Tour

Nashville, TN (March 11, 2010) -- With her sharp-tongued, no-holds barred attitude, incendiary stage performances, and gun-toting anthems, platinum recording artist Miranda Lambert is a force to be reckoned with -- a woman most men would think twice about double-crossing. Her recent number one hit “White Liar” along with hits like “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Gunpowder & Lead” and “Kerosene” leave no question that the gal can hold her own. But there’s a new breed of rough & rowdy country artists who think they are man enough to keep up with the 6x ACM nominated star.

Miranda embarks on her “Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars” headlining tour next week and for all but a handful of dates, she’s enlisted some of the hottest male talents in country music - James Otto, David Nail, Randy Houser, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Wade Bowen, Luke Bryan and Chris Young. Each will join Miranda for select dates through out the tour.

“I like pink guitars and puppies so how scary can I be?” laughs Miranda. "Seriously, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’ve been on tour with some great male headliners so I thought it’s only natural that I invite some talented guys on my first official headlining tour!”

"We're excited to join Miranda for a few dates on her upcoming tour," exlaims Cross Canadian Ragweed's guitarist Grady Cross. "It's been about 5 years since we've performed with her and we're proud to be back. Miranda is a great entertainer and its guaranteed to be a good time!"

“Miranda is one of the most talented singer/songwriters out there,” says Chris Young. “I have always loved her music and her live shows, and I’m very excited about being on the road with her.”

“I can’t wait to get out on the road with Miranda,” says an enthusiastic Jake Owen. “She and her band know how to rock and our show is a perfect fit with that. Her fans are always ready to have a good time and we’re ready to show them a party.”

"Miranda has always been one of the most confident women I've been around. It seems she always has her head in the game and ready for the next step before she even knows what that might be," says fellow Texan Wade Bowen. "Her music is original and unique without sticking herself under the radar and with every album release, I find myself anxious to see what she is going to do next. Not many artists have that effect on people anymore!"

"Miranda and I both have a lot of respect for each other musically," says Eric Church. "I consider her a badass and she considers me one. Put us both together and it should be unsafe at best. Everybody better rest up for this one cause we're gonna blow it up."

Miranda’s newest single “The House that Built Me,” a song that showcases her softer, sentimental side, became the #1 most added song this week at over 100 country radio stations. With six 2010 ACM nominations under her belt, a newly celebrated Gold certification of both her first #1 single, "White Liar," and her critically acclaimed third studio album, Revolution, and her first headlining tour, Miranda Lambert has laid a strong foundation in becoming country music's next big superstar.

ABOUT MIRANDA LAMBERT:
Platinum and three-time Grammy nominated recording artist Miranda Lambert recently scored six Academy of Country Music nominations, including Album of the Year for Revolution, and both Song and Single of the Year nods for her first #1 hit "White Liar." Her critically-acclaimed third album, Revolution, debuted at #1 and joins her previous two releases that debuted at the very top of Billboard’s Country Album Charts, making her one of four artists in country music history whose first three albums landed the #1 spot out of the box. Lambert received rare perfect reviews from countless publications including 4 stars from Rolling Stone and USA Today, an ‘A’ from Entertainment Weekly and exuberant praise from SPIN, NY Times, Washington Post and more. Many have claimed Revolution the “Best Album of the Year” in any genre including Houston Chronicle and NPR’s All Things Considered. She won the coveted ACM Album of the Year in 2008 and ACM Best New Female Award in 2007. Her string of nominations include CMA’s Horizon Award (2005, 2006), ACM’s Top Female Vocalist Award (2008, 2009) and Grammys for Best Female Country Vocal Performance (2006, 2007). With this much artillery under her belt, it’s no surprise the fiery Texas bombshell packs a pretty hard punch - her live shows no exception.

The track also just earned an Academy of Country Music Award nomination for “Single of the Year”. Nail wrote five of the eleven tracks for Alive, which boasts many notable names. Lambert lends her vocals to the moody “Strangers On A Train” and both Rascal Flatts lead Gary LeVox (“Summer Job Days”) and Kenny Chesney (“Turning Home”) appear in the songwriting credits. People magazine boasts Nail as “One of Nashville’s Hottest New Stars” and praises the album saying it’s "a rewarding set that showcases his soulful, nuanced vocals" and awarded it three out of four stars. He has also been featured by Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Us Weekly, Ladies Home Journal and on iTunes, AOL and ESPN 2. He’s performed at Kenny Chesney’s pre-show tailgating parties, opened for Sugarland and on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Nail’s new single is “Turning Home”. His most recent hit single, “Boots On,” reached Top 5 on Billboard and Mediabase charts, and spent 2 weeks at #1 on Music Row charts. A viral video for the song, featuring a talented toddler rocking out and lip synching with his toy guitar, became a YouTube phenomenon tallying over 1 million views and garnered attention from CNN, The Early Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fox & Friends: Weekend, and Perez Hilton, among others. Incorporated into the official music video, it has earned Houser Video of the Year nominations for both the 2009 CMA and 2010 ACM Awards. Houser co-headlined his first tour with longtime pal Jamey Johnson on CMT ON TOUR 09 and completed his first USO tour overseas with Johnson and Kellie Pickler in January 2010. The Grascals Release New CD "The Famous Lefty Flynn's"

Celebrated Bluegrass Group The Grascals Release
The Famous Lefty Flynn’s March 30th on Rounder Records

Band to Tour with Hank Williams Jr.’s Rowdy Friends Tour in April

NASHVILLE, TN - The Grascals, one of bluegrass music’s most highly awarded and acclaimed bands, will release their brand new CD, The Famous Lefty Flynn’s, on Rounder Records March 30, just a few days before the band hits the road as a part of Hank Williams Jr.’s Rowdy Friends Tour, an opportunity that will showcase bluegrass music to tens of thousands of music fans. As a guest on the CD, Williams also joins the band for a quintessential country/bluegrass version of “I’m Blue, I’m Lonesome,” written by his dad, Hank Williams, and the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe.

Known for their seamless harmonies, soaring trios and stellar instrumental talents, The Grascals rose to critical acclaim in 2005 when they won Emerging Artist of the Year at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. This was only the beginning as they catapulted to the top of their genre, being named 2006 and 2007 Entertainers of the Year the following two years. The Boston Globe said, “DJs rhapsodize about The Grascals as though they were the second coming of Bill Monroe. The hype machine is at full throttle, but the Grascals justify every scrap of it… astonishing instrumentalists.”

This Grammy nominated, Dove nominated group takes another stride forward on this, their 4th album. Vocally, the trio of Terry Eldredge, Jamie Johnson and Terry Smith are tighter than ever, cutting loose on driving solo vocals and soaring trios with equal fire and passion.

The Grascals have never sounded sharper as an instrumental unit, with mandolin ace Danny Roberts, fiddler Jeremy Abshire and new banjo player Kristin Scott Benson leading the charge. As a result, The Famous Lefty Flynn’s features cutting-edge modern bluegrass delivered with a deep knowledge of and admiration for the work of the music’s founding fathers. Timely yet timeless, The Grascals make music that is entirely relevant to the here and now, yet immersed in traditional values of soul and musicianship. It’s a unique sound that has earned two of their previous releases, The Grascals (2005) and Long List of Heartaches (2006) Grammy® nominations for Best Bluegrass Album.

The Famous Lefty Flynn’s kicks off with start-to-finish three-part harmonies featured in a rousing cover of “Last Train to Clarksville.” The energy doesn’t let up as Terry Eldredge takes the lead in the infectious, fast-paced “Son of a Sawmill Man” – a straight-ahead bluegrass tune with room for solos by Kristin Scott Benson (banjo), Danny Roberts (mandolin), and Jeremy Abshire (fiddle). The ballad “Satan and Grandma” follows, a powerful testimony to the strength of a righteous grandmother conveyed with perfect emotion by Jamie Johnson.

The life-affirming “Everytime” features Terry Eldridge, and reminds us of new possibilities and adventures that could be just ahead. Like an old-time folk song, “Out Comes the Sun” paints a mysterious, foreboding picture of a lover. Terry Eldredge, with the help of a bass interlude by Terry Smith, sets just the right chilling mood with this one. The instrumental “Blue Rock Slide” keeps that old-time bluegrass spirit front and center – in a more upbeat way – with solos and instrumental interplay in abundance.

The title track, written by Jamie Johnson and Morry Trent, is a story song, an outlaw’s tale, delivered convincingly by Terry Eldridge. Another Grascals original, “My Baby’s Waiting on the Other Side” (Johnson, Smith, Roberts) with Jamie Johnson singing lead, is a barn-burner, fueled by precise three-part harmony and solos on fiddle, banjo, guitar and mandolin. Steve Earle’s “My Old Friend the Blues” follows with its easy-going irony. The bluesy spirit continues with the two Terrys joining Jamie for the choruses of the wistful but sprightly “Up This Hill and Down.” To close out the album, Jamie Johnson sings lead in the uplifting “Give Me Jesus.”

“Inspirational songs have always had an important place in the country music canon,” adds Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Director Kyle Young. “The songs that comprise Sunday in the Country uphold this rich tradition, offering hope, fellowship, solace and gratitude. New Haven Records has been releasing meaningful country and gospel recordings for two decades, and we’re pleased to be partners with them on this project.”

Joining successful collections such as Three Wooden Crosses, Amazing Grace, Country’s Salute to Gospel and Songs for Worship—Country, this newest, unparalleled compilation of today’s favorite inspirational country songs represents the top-voted selections in a survey sent to hundreds of country radio programmers. The list was then reviewed by historians at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum who developed the final artist/track selection for the project in association with New Haven Records President, Ken Harding.

The twelve tracks presented in Sunday in the Country are songs that have individually sold millions of units—they are songs that have become modern country-gospel classics and touched the lives of countless listeners with the message of faith.

Executive producers for the album are Ken Harding, LeAnn Bennett and the staff of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The package includes photos and extensive liner notes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization.

Rural Rhythm To ReIssue Two Rediscovered Treasures on March 23, 2010

Rural Rhythm to Issue Two Rediscovered Treasures on March 23, 2010
Reno & Smiley with Special Guests Carter and Ralph Stanley “Bluegrass 1963”Mac Wiseman with special guest, Lester Flatt & Chubby Wise “Bluegrass 1971”

Rural Rhythm Records is very proud to announce the upcoming March 23, 2010 album releases of two first generation bluegrass legends: “BLUEGRASS 1963” by Reno & Smiley with special guests Carter and Ralph Stanley, and “BLUEGRASS 1971” by Mac Wiseman with special guest, Lester Flatt & Chubby Wise. These are the first two album projects by a new and exciting joint venture between Rural Rhythm Records and Ronnie Reno. These historic albums will be available for purchase wherever bluegrass music is sold including; Walmart, Amazon, Borders, iTunes, Rhapsody, e-music, County Sales, Music Shed, plus the Rural Rhythm website.

Produced by Ronnie Reno, “BLUEGRASS 1963,”, is a welcomed treasure for those lucky enough to have seen and heard Reno & Smiley perform on their legendary “Top O’ the Morning” daily TV show in Roanoke, Virginia during the early 1960’s. This 18 song collection features their long time sideman, The Tennessee Cut-Ups, Mac Magaha on fiddle, John Palmer on bass, guitarist Steve Chapman, plus a young Ronnie Reno on mandolin. There are fine renditions of their classics like “I Know You’re Married,” “I’m the Talk of the Town,” “Love Please Come Home,” “I Wouldn’t Change You If I Could,” and “I’m Using My Bible for a Roadmap.”

Also featured on the album are guest spots from none other than The Stanley Brothers (Ralph and Carter) performing the classic “In the Pines,” “Nine Pound Hammer,” and Ralph joining Don Reno for a twin banjo workout on “Home Sweet Home.” A special album highlight is the four-part harmony performance of “Over in the Gloryland” with Ralph & Carter Stanley joined by Reno & Smiley and their full band. ‘As I look back some 47 years ago when we recorded this, I can’t help but think of my feelings on the music we were playing. I was 16, playing mandolin in a great band on TV and recording hit records. I guess I thought all bands sounded and played like Reno & Smiley. Little did I know I was playing in one of the greatest bluegrass bands of all time.” said album producer, Ronnie Reno.

“BLUEGRASS 1971,” features Mac Wiseman with special guests Lester Flatt & Chubby Wise. Mac Wiseman has been a very important part of the Country and Bluegrass music scene for many decades recording a tremendous amount of successful albums that have contained a long list of big hits in both genres. Towards the end of 1970, Mac Wiseman and Lester Flatt talked about teaming up for an album that would re-create the mood and spirit of the late 1940s. Lester had split acrimoniously from Earl Scruggs, so Lester and Mac began touring and recording together. During this period, their albums were musically and commercially successful including their album, “Lester ‘N Mac” reaching #42 on the Billboard Top Country Album Chart.

This star-studded bluegrass album was recorded in 1971 at the Renfro Valley Barn Dance in Kentucky during this historic collaborative period between the two. “BLUEGRASS 1971” gives us a historic treat as these bluegrass legends perform three classic songs together with Lester’s Nashville Grass Band, which included Paul Warren, Josh Graves, Roland White, Haskel McCormick and Johnny Johnson, special guest, Howdy Forrester, and nine classic songs performed with Mac and his band, The Shenandoah Valley Cut-Ups that included: Billy Edwards, Hershel Sizemore, John Palmer, Tater Tate, with special guest Chubby Wise. Another highlight includes a fiery three fiddle instrumental version of the classic tune, “Liberty,” with Tater Tate, Joe Greene and Chubby Wise.
